In an Empty House
The thin tin cooker
Like a tower block
In the eastern block
Brown window
Greasy fog
Obscures pinched features
Peering out.
Grime with mouse-droppings
Fetch the 'oover.
Steaming hot buckets
And brushes.
Let's clean this out
Out. Out. Out. Out. Out.
Let's replace it with an
Aga.
Ahhhh.

I love this one. I am guessing the 'oover is the vacuum (Hoover?) but what is the aga? I love the descriptive words. I can close my eyes and envision the empty house although I've never been in one like that before. I could 'feel' the satisfction in the last line. :)
